Master Korabel is a Russian wooden ship model manufacturer that makes some amazingly well designed and unique ship model kits that make some clever use of Computer Aided Design and Laser Cutting. Unfortunately, since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we can no longer order their products. However, that doesn’t mean that none of their kits are available anymore. We still have a few of these amazing kits in stock.

We have three different Master Korabel kits still in stock and available to order:

• Secret Vessel Morel
• Double Boat
• Schooner Polotsk, 1777

These kits have disappeared from most of the usual online shops, but we still have these few for the now. When they are gone, we have no idea when we’ll be able to get them again.

Below, you can see the detail in their kit construction as well as the instructions. These are for the Canon Jolle, which we’re out of, but the other kits are all just like this.

These kits are best for experienced wooden ship model builders, so make sure you’ve built a couple models before taking on one of these. The kits feature pre-spiled, laser-cut planks in two layers. The outer layer is a very thin veneer. This makes for beautiful, perfectly laid out hull planking, but requires some skill to work with the provided material.

Below is a photo from a recent local ship modelers club meeting showing another kit, the Tender Avos, being built by one of our customers, George Sloup. Again, a kit that is now unavailable, but you can see the high density of supporting frames, and on the underside, the laser-cut first layer of planking. This is typical of all Master Korabel kits.

Again, that these are the last of these kits available. They are all new in stock, but there is no way for us to acquire more kits or replacement parts at this time.
